The Gay Shaman's Retreat

with Tony Allicino & Tom Cowan

"Come away, oh human child,
to the waters and the wild,
with a faery hand in hand,
for the world's more full of weeping
than you can understand."

Shamans are considered powerful because of their ability to access the spirit world. Traditionally, shamans have always worked within a community where they continue to learn, practice, and be affirmed as shamans.

We will gather together for the opportunity to create such a community for exploring themes specific to our path as gay male shamans. In doing so, we will learn together, practice together, and affirm one another as gay shamanic healers. In this retreat we will use ritual, journeywork, song, dance, and presence with the land to deepen our understanding of how our lives -- fate? free will? -- led us to be gay shamans.
