We will offer advanced Shamanic Training for gay men on healing with spiritual light. Participants will experience several journeys during the course of the weekend around the subject of transfiguration, and the use of transfiguration for the healing and empowerment of oneself, another person, and the community. Those of you who have read Sandra Ingerman’s book Medicine for the Earth would be The intention for this training is to further equip gay male shamanic practitioners with more skills and experiences so they can be more empowered in their shamanic practice. In asking the question: How are miracles created?, Sandra researched the ancient texts of the world's known religions and spiritual traditions and was guided to the realization that all miracles contain seven elements (these are discussed at length in the book) and to exploring the alchemy process of transfiguration. During the weekend workshop we will fully immerse ourselves in this work, step-by-step building on our power and skills, the knowledge of the ancestors, and use the direct journey in allowing our spirit allies to guide us to transfigured Some of the principles, allies and techniques we may work with (and in no particular order) during the workshop are: perception and form Last Date Offered: October 27-29, 2006 FACILITATORS Tony Allicino has studied shaman traditions with teachers from the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Tom Cowan, Christina Pratt, and indigenous shamans from North and South America, and Greenland. He has facilitated workshops on Core Shamanism, Fires of Transformation, Masks of the Shadow, and Building a Sweat Lodge. A founding member of the Shamanic Compass Drum Circle, he is a member of the Society of Shamanic Practitioners and has completed Sandra Ingerman's David Conneely is a shamanic practitioner, dream worker, and member of the New York City Gay Men's Shamanic Circle. David has studied shamanic practice with the Gay Men's Medicine Circle in Los Angeles, the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and recently completed a two-year-program in Celtic Shamanism with Tom Cowan.
