The current members of the New York City Gay Men’s Shamanic Circle serve as stewards of all its activities and take responsibility to make sure that the circle is functioning well.

We ask that prospective members have training in Shamanic work (all traditions and experiences are honored). Occasionally the circle itself hosts an introductory training workshop. Another good possibility for obtaining training is to take the introductory workshop offered by the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

After participating in Open Circles and Wednesday evening circles, a man may request to "tie on" to the NYGMSC (become a member of the Stewards' Circle). The current members will consider his request with deep contemplation.
